Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

Last updated: 2026-05-26

ScreenScore takes editorial independence seriously. This page explains, in plain language, every way the Site can generate revenue and how we keep that separate from our opinions. This disclosure is provided in line with the U.S. FTC Endorsement Guides, India's ASCI Guidelines for Influencer Advertising, and Google AdSense publisher requirements.

1. Affiliate links

Some links on this Site are affiliate links — most often to ticket platforms (BookMyShow), streaming services (Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar, SonyLIV, ZEE5 and others) and retailers (Amazon). If you click one of these links and complete a qualifying action, ScreenScore may earn a small commission. You pay nothing extra.

Affiliate links are always marked with rel="sponsored nofollow noopener". The “Where to Watch” box on every review carries a visible disclosure line. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.

2. Display advertising

We display advertisements served by Google AdSense and may add other ad networks in future. We do not control the specific ads shown — Google selects them based on context and (with your consent) your interests. Ad placements are clearly demarcated.

3. Sponsored content

From time to time we may publish sponsored reviews, featured posts, or other paid content commissioned by studios, OTT platforms, or PR agencies. Any such post will be clearly labelled “Sponsored” at the top, and our editorial opinions in that piece remain our own — sponsors do not get pre-publication review or veto rights over our verdicts.

4. Press screeners & review copies

We sometimes receive press access, screener links, or review copies of films and series. Receiving these does not entitle anyone to a positive review. Where it is materially relevant, we will disclose this in the body of the review.

5. What does NOT influence our reviews

  • Affiliate commission rates (we link to the same OTT regardless of the cut).
  • Ad revenue (we do not change verdicts based on ad demand for a title).
  • Sponsorship offers (a paid post is paid; an editorial verdict is editorial).
